Fermentation Guide
What’s Inside
More than recipes now
This began as our sauerkraut recipes. It has grown into a complete little guide to fermenting both food and drinks — plus the part most guides skip: how to read what’s actually happening in the jar.
You’ll be making:
the base sauerkraut method, four favourite krauts (Indian Spiced, Dill, Ginger Carrot, Beet Caraway), three bonus ferments (Rhubarb Lime Ginger, Pineapple Turmeric, Kimchi-Style), fermented rhubarb with honey & salt, and wild soda with a living juniper starter.

What readers say
“We make our own plain kraut but these all sound good too. Especially the one with dill and also the ginger — we’ll probably try first. Love all the tips!”
“I’m excited to try this! Just learned fermentation last year and want to expand my repertoire. Thank you for the detailed explanation.”
“I made the wild soda in time for Mother's Day and it was the perfect addition to our family picnic”
you won’t need recipes.
You’ll just use what you have.”
